Who we are

NanoCount is offered by Digital Sandbox BV, Hattem, Netherlands (Dutch Chamber of Commerce 42124304). Contact: support@nanocount.app.

In the app: no data reaches us

Inside the app, everything stays with you:

• Your events (titles, dates, notes, colors, icons) and any photos you add are stored on your device, and in your own iCloud if you turn on sync (see below). They are not sent to any server of ours and we have no access to them.
• Photos you attach to an event are downscaled and stored on your device. They only travel further if you turn on iCloud sync, and nowhere else.
• The app works fully offline. There is no account and no sign-in.
• There is no analytics, advertising, or tracking software in the app. We collect no usage statistics and do not track you across apps or websites.

iCloud sync (Pro)

By default your data stays on your device. NanoCount Pro adds an optional iCloud sync that is off until you turn it on. When you enable it, your countdowns (and any photos) sync across your own devices through your private iCloud, which is part of your Apple account. We have no access to that data and never see it. Turn the sync off and everything stays on your device again.

Notifications

Reminders and milestone alerts are scheduled locally on your device. No external server is involved. Permission is only requested when you turn a notification or alarm on yourself.

Sharing

When you share an event, it happens in two privacy-friendly ways:

• An image generated on your device.
• A magic link (nanocount.app/c#...). The event's data sits after the #, the URL fragment. Browsers do not send that fragment to the server; the page renders the countdown in the recipient's browser. So we never receive the contents of your shared event.

Purchases (NanoCount Pro)

The one-time purchase runs entirely through Apple (App Store and StoreKit). Apple processes the payment; we never see or store your payment details. Through Apple we only see whether Pro is active for your device.

If you email us

Choosing Share an idea or wish or Send us a message in the app opens a message to support@nanocount.app. If you send it, we receive your email address and your message. We use that only to reply and to improve the app, nothing else.

The website (nanocount.app)

The website uses no tracking cookies and therefore never asks for cookie consent. For visitor statistics we use Vercel Web Analytics, which is fully cookieless: no personal data is collected and you are not tracked individually or across websites. To run the site securely and reliably, our hosting provider may process standard technical data (such as an IP address in server logs); this is not used to profile you.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing on our side to access, correct, or delete. You manage the data in the app yourself on your device: you can delete events at any time, and the backup feature lets you export or import everything yourself. Delete the app and its data is gone.

Children

NanoCount is suitable for all ages and collects no data, including from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app changes. The date at the top reflects the latest version.
