Working days calculator
Count how many working days fall between two dates, with the official public holidays of the country you choose subtracted automatically. Pick the Netherlands, Germany, Spain or France, or no country at all. Handy for contracts, delivery windows, notice periods and project planning.
To count the working days between two dates, count the weekdays (Monday to Friday) in the range and subtract the public holidays. For example, there are 23 working days in July 2026 in the Netherlands. Pick two dates and a country above for the exact figure.
How does it work?
Pick a start and end date. The counter counts every weekday (Monday to Friday) in that period and leaves the weekends out.
Then pick a country and the counter also subtracts that country's national public holidays. The dates are computed per year, so they are correct for future years too. Pick no country and the counter simply counts the weekdays.
How to use it
- Pick the start and end date.
- Choose a country to subtract its national public holidays, or pick no country to count plain weekdays.
- Read the number of working days, with the number of holidays subtracted shown.
Examples
| Period | Country | Working days |
|---|---|---|
| One week (Monday to Friday) | Any | 5 working days |
| July 2026 | Netherlands | 23 working days |
| December 2026 | Netherlands | 23 working days (Christmas Day subtracted; Boxing Day is a weekend) |

Weekends never count. National public holidays are subtracted for the country you pick; regional or state holidays are not.
